This is a personal blog for Gavin Robertson. There’s also links to some of the sites Alison and I work on and a page for some of the domain names we will be developing although I’ll consider offers on any of them.
My main background is music rights and on-line technologies. Music’s been getting sensationalised doom-laden press for years now but it’s really just an evolution that most industries have to deal with every few years. Music has just now had to deal with in the same way as say the games industry and so what should be an evolution has become more of a geological shift. Still, plenty to blog about under ‘music’
For those that know me, technology is at the core of all my interests. At the same time however I have a fairly low threshold of interest for poor design so as soon as a manual or instructions are required I start to move elsewhere, physically and mentally. Technology that works intuitively is brilliant and that’s what I’ll be looking at in the tech section.
Wow is a sad word in that I can’t think of another way of saying it. Even the coolest people I know sometimes say ‘wow’ before they can stop themselves. Must be in our bones. I tend to associate it with geeks like the guys at SETI when they saw a possible signal that could be from outside the solar system and marked it the Wow Signal. But why not? There’s loads of wow things out there and some of my best friends are geeks.
